It takes courage to seek mental health support and I work very hard to provide clients with a positive therapeutic experience so that they may challenge themselves, but in a way that feels supported and nurturing.
In therapy, we will focus on how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected, and how changing one area leads to changes in another, ultimately leading to relief and healing.
We will also explore how focusing on the present moment allows us to make needed changes, without the anxiety that comes from focusing too far in the future about things we can’t control, or the regret that may come from focusing too much in the past.
I tailor my approach to the client’s needs and cultural identities they possess, and I am always open to feedback and changing our game plan accordingly.
If after meeting, you feel we are not a good fit, I am happy to provide other referrals that may better suit your needs.
I choose a collaborative approach, so that clients feel in control and empowered by their own abilities to make change, without someone simply “telling them what to do”.
